The modder intends to keep the mod very small and will not be adding any extra models or maps, though it will have full support for Jedi Outcast and Academy.
Originally created by modder Serenity and then further expanded by modder JaceSolaris, SerenityJediEngine2019 is a rebuild of the released 2015 SerenityJediEngine, featuring many code fixes and additional features, and supporting both single and multiplayer.Īs JaceSolaris noted, this mod was primarily built with Saber and Gun combat in mind, and its code was built using aspects from the Open Jedi Project and Open Jedi Knight code base.
Until then, though, Star Wars can go ahead and download this mod for Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy. It's hard NOT to use it now.Īlso, keep in mind this won't work with other main menu mods, for the most part, if they edit the actual menu.As we’ve already said, the next single-player Star Wars game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will be revealed later today. Decided to work on it a bit more and release it. This was a mod I've had in my base for years but never shared it. Hopefully more changes will happen later. Server info window is now grey, so it's easier to see black names New video plays in the main menu, just to give it something new. Before it was huge and only showed around 10 at a time. Server list now shows more servers at a time, making the font smaller.
Same music track added to the SP menu (previously no music played) Very peaceful feel, reminds me of the Jedi Academy map. Music track for MP switched with the Yavin Temple explore music from JK2. New sounds add a more subtle feel to your menu experience. Especially if you're playing late at night, you fire up JKA and click Play-BEEP! Ow. I always felt like the sounds and music for the menu were extremely harsh. This is a mod that aims to freshen and soften the main menus of both SP and MP of Jedi Academy. Kylo_Blade_Only.pk3 - Just Kylo Ren's saber blade with no animations for regular blades. The main file contains the effects and regular saber blades.īlade_Animations.pk3 - TFA animations for regular blades with a normal red blade.īlade_Animations+KyloRed.pk3 - TFA animations for regular blades but with Kylo Ren's blade for red. Installation: Put the TFA_Live_Blades+Effects.pk3 in your base folder along with one of the saber animation pk3's depending on what you want. However if for some reason someone would like the latter version let me know as i made it as well recently just for fun. The lightsaber clash was difficult as there was a few variations of it so i went with a more neutral one color wise, as opposed to the deep purple/violet. While i put alot of time and attention into every aspect of this mod, i really wanted to bring the effects out by re-creating each unique spark in the various effects from every aspect of their appearance, to the gravity and velocity of each one. I modified Darth Martyr's shader to create the animation sequences for the blades so big thanks to him for letting me use it.
Since there was only one regular lightsaber color in the movie i did my best to imagine what the other colors might look like using the color layering, contrast/saturation and brightness of the blue blade as an example. My attempt at re-creating in detail the lightsaber effects, sparks, blades and the animation of each blade from The Force Awakens. Have a go and I wish you the best of luck. If you wish to modify and can find a way to increase the image quality, then by all means. The image quality of the Sky is nowhere near HD, but unfortunately there wasn't really any other way to improve it, without awful pixelation. So overall, I thought this would be a more accurate representation of the planet, judging from the information featured in the Wookieepedia link, here So I had a re-think and thought about what this planet could actually be like in the STAR WARS universe. Looking at version 1, while it was updated and different, I felt it seemed too much like a green version of Bespin and didn't really resemble a green, gas Planet, as such. This version is somewhat different to version 1 of the Kril'Dor skybox.
